Portland Fire guard Sarah Ashlee Barker exited Wednesday night’s game against the Dallas Wings after suffering a left leg injury early in the first quarter at the Moda Center.
The injury occurred after Barker delivered an assist to teammate Frieda Buhner, whose 3-point basket gave Portland an early score.
Barker fell out of bounds beneath the basket and immediately grabbed her left knee while remaining on the floor in visible discomfort.
Medical staff quickly attended to Barker as towels were held up to block the view from spectators.
She was eventually helped off the court and taken to the locker room. The team later confirmed that she did not return to the game.
Before leaving, Barker played just over four minutes, scoring one basket and recording two assists.
