Actress Isla Fisher has offered a rare glimpse into her dating life, revealing that an unusual moment involving a runaway dog quickly changed how she felt about a potential suitor.
Fisher shared the dating story in a Sept. 1 clip posted by the Overheard Happy Hour TikTok account. She said she had been interested in an unnamed man when his dog suddenly ran away.

The actress explained that the man chased after the animal, but his unusual running style immediately affected her perception of him. Rather than running upright, he moved low to the ground with his hands extended, which Fisher compared to a cartoon character.
According to Fisher, the reaction became progressively stronger as she watched the chase. Once the man caught his dog, she said her sexual attraction had disappeared.
Fisher has largely kept her dating life private since separating from Sacha Baron Cohen. The pair married in 2010 after meeting in 2001 and spent 13 years together before separating in 2023.

They finalized their divorce in 2025 and said they remained friends while continuing to co-parent their three children. They also asked the media to respect their children’s privacy.
Fisher previously described the period surrounding her divorce as challenging while discussing her transition to living independently. In comments to Elle Decoration, she said creating a new life emotionally had been difficult but rewarding.
She also told Harper’s Bazaar in 2024 that she had been concentrating more on her children and enjoying her work while moving through what she called a difficult couple of years.
