Cindy Crawford Mourns Son Presley Gerber’s Death at 27

Supermodel Cindy Crawford and her family have paid tribute to Presley Gerber following his death at 27, while his sister Kaia Gerber shared a deeply personal letter reflecting on their bond.

Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died on Sept. 20 at a rehabilitation facility in California at the age of 27.

Crawford shared a family tribute on Instagram on Sunday, expressing the family’s grief and gratitude for the support they have received.

She described Presley as a kind and vulnerable person whose presence had brought lasting meaning to their lives.

“We feel so blessed to have had Presley in our lives for 27 years,” the family wrote.

The tribute was signed by Crawford, Rande and Presley’s younger sister, Kaia, who also shared a separate message remembering her brother.

Kaia Gerber Shares Emotional Tribute

Kaia posted childhood photographs and a video of the siblings dancing together, alongside a lengthy letter about their relationship and the difficulty of navigating life without him.

She recalled how Presley had helped her overcome her fear of getting her ears pierced by going first.

Reflecting on that memory, she described the pain of encountering an object that had belonged to him after his death.

Kaia also wrote about learning to maintain her connection with her brother despite being unable to call or speak to him as she once did. She described being his sister as one of the most meaningful parts of her life.

Investigation Into Presley Gerber’s Death

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner lists Presley’s case as pending further investigation.

Santa Monica police have said there is no indication that foul play was involved, while officials are investigating the death as a suspected overdose.

A definitive cause of death has not been established in the supplied reports.

Presley pursued a modeling career, following his mother and sister into the fashion industry.

He began modeling as a teenager and appeared in campaigns for Calvin Klein, walked the runway for Moschino and featured in a Pepsi advertisement alongside Crawford. He had also spoken publicly about mental health challenges and drug use.

In November 2024, he began posting videos under the title “Mental Health Mondays,” aiming to encourage open conversations about issues people often conceal.

His family’s tributes have focused on their personal memories of Presley and the lasting place he holds in their lives.
