A24 has unveiled You Can See Everything, a secret Elizabeth Holmes documentary from Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim that is scheduled for a theatrical release in October.
The existence of the Elizabeth Holmes documentary was revealed after its surprise world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival.
Festival attendees were reportedly asked to check in their phones, while the screening generated some of the event’s longest lines.
Titled You Can See Everything, the film centers on Holmes during the period immediately before her imprisonment.
A24’s official synopsis says Holmes invites a skeptical film crew to document her life 34 days before she is sent to prison, with the project ultimately becoming a three year journey.
The documentary pairs Holmes with comedian and filmmaker Nathan Fielder, whose work frequently places him in unusual situations involving real people.
He created Nathan for You and later developed HBO’s The Rehearsal, both of which explore unconventional interactions between staged scenarios and reality.
A teaser released alongside the announcement features an intense exchange between Fielder and Holmes. Holmes tells him she has nothing to deceive him about and insists that she is engaging with him genuinely.
Holmes became internationally known through Theranos, the company she founded after claiming its technology could perform numerous medical tests using small amounts of blood.
The Securities and Exchange Commission said Holmes raised more than $700 million while misleading investors about the company’s technology.
Holmes was convicted of fraud and sentenced to 11 years and three months in prison. She began serving her sentence in 2023.
A24 has confirmed that You Can See Everything is scheduled for theatrical release in October.
