Heidi Klum celebrated her son Henry’s 21st birthday with a long promised gift: a red Ferrari F430 that stemmed from a video game wager he made with his stepfather, Tom Kaulitz, years earlier.
The Birthday Surprise
Klum documented the reveal in an Instagram video, showing Henry walking outside with Kaulitz before discovering the Ferrari waiting in the driveway. The 21-year-old reacted with surprise as he inspected the car.

Klum said Henry had been waiting for the moment for years. Kaulitz then revealed that he had purchased the Ferrari the previous year and stored it in the garage to preserve the surprise.
The Seven Year Old Bet
The unusual birthday gift traces back to a Mario Kart wager between Henry and Kaulitz. In throwback footage shared by Klum, a teenage Henry explained that if he won the game, Kaulitz would have to give him a Ferrari when he turned 21.
The original challenge also included consequences for Henry if he lost, including staying away from video games for three months and making a painting of himself driving.

Klum later pointed out that Kaulitz had kept his promise, noting that the agreement had been made about seven years earlier.
Henry is one of Klum’s four children. She shares him, Johan and Lou with former husband Seal, while her eldest daughter, Leni, is from her previous relationship with Flavio Briatore.
Klum and Kaulitz married in 2019, and PEOPLE previously reported that Kaulitz viewed himself as an additional father figure to her children.
