Maria Bartiromo has left Fox News Media after more than 12 years, with the company announcing her departure Thursday without giving a reason.
Fox News Media announced Thursday that Maria Bartiromo is leaving the company, ending a tenure that began in 2014.
The network thanked her for her work and wished her well in her next chapter, but did not disclose why the relationship ended.
Bartiromo’s departure affects several programs across Fox’s business and news operations.
Her weekday show, “Mornings with Maria,” aired its final episode Thursday and will be replaced by “Morning with Fox Business,” featuring a rotation of anchors.
Her weekly “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street” will also be renamed “FBN’s Wall Street,” with Cheryl Casone hosting this week before rotating anchors take over.
Her Fox News program, “Sunday Morning Futures,” will be hosted by Jason Chaffetz this week. Fox News Media said a permanent host would be announced later.
Bartiromo joined Fox in 2014 after building a prominent career covering Wall Street. Her move was part of Fox’s effort to strengthen its financial-market coverage.
Over time, her programming increasingly incorporated political coverage, including interviews and commentary involving the Trump administration.
Her name also appeared in materials connected to Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit against Fox News. Fox settled the case for $787.5 million in 2023.
President Donald Trump had publicly praised Bartiromo in the past, including congratulating her on a contract renewal in 2020.
Vice President JD Vance, asked Thursday whether she might become White House press secretary, said he did not think so and described her as a close friend.
Fox Business Network plans to introduce a new daytime programming schedule in the coming weeks, while Fox News has yet to announce the permanent replacement for “Sunday Morning Futures.”
