KJ Biermann, the 15 year old son of Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann, faced a new allegation during a Georgia bond hearing tied to a separate sexual assault case.
KJ appeared in Fulton County Superior Court on Sept. 11 as Judge Melynee Leftridge considered whether he should be released on bond. The teenager has been held at Atlanta’s Metro Regional Youth Detention Center following his arrest last month.
During the hearing, Deputy District Attorney Caitlin McGillicuddy introduced a separate and previously undisclosed allegation.
Page Six reported that investigators allegedly discovered multiple videos on KJ’s phone that prosecutors said depicted sexual activity involving a family member under the age of 12.
McGillicuddy also alleged that the recordings contained language she characterized as “predatory” and “derogatory.”
The prosecutor said the new allegation would represent another serious sexual offense involving a female victim.
Page Six reported that KJ had already been under court supervision for about 10 months on a separate sexual-battery charge involving a victim under 16, which had not previously been publicly reported.
KJ’s current seven-count indictment stems from an alleged April 23 incident at a Lifetime Fitness facility in Alpharetta, Georgia.
TMZ reported that a female classmate accused him of unwanted sexual contact inside a coed sauna after allegedly telling him to stop. The police report said an examination later found no male DNA in the girl’s mouth or genital area.
The indictment includes aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, false imprisonment and three counts of sexual battery involving a child under 16, according to Page Six.
Defense attorney Jason Sheffield denied the allegations and said KJ is presumed innocent and “in fact, innocent.” He requested a $65,000 bond and proposed that Kim Zolciak supervise her son at home.
Zolciak has also maintained KJ’s innocence. In a statement to In Touch, she said her son categorically denied the allegations and voluntarily took a polygraph examination that she said he passed.
Judge Leftridge was expected to decide the bond request by Sept. 14. Sheffield also asked for the case to move to juvenile court and for confidential proceedings. KJ is expected to enter not-guilty pleas at his Oct. 14 arraignment.
