Ashton Jeanty Leaves Raiders Practice With Right Knee Injury

Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty left Sunday’s training camp practice after an apparent right knee injury, with the team yet to provide details on its severity.

Jeanty landed awkwardly on the indoor practice field turf and remained down before athletic trainers assisted him from the field. Raiders players then took a knee and prayed after his departure.

The second year back was selected No. 6 overall in the 2025 NFL draft and started all 17 games as a rookie.

He rushed for 975 yards and five touchdowns on 266 carries while adding 55 receptions for 346 yards and five receiving scores.

Jeanty was expected to play a major role in Klint Kubiak’s run heavy offense. Washington, who has impressed during training camp, would be the next option alongside Dylan Laube, Roman Hemby and Dare Ogunbowale if Jeanty misses time.

Elsewhere, guard Jackson Powers Johnson returned to practice, while wide receiver Dont’e Thornton, tight end Carter Runyon and others remained limited or out.

The Raiders had not issued an update on Jeanty’s injury at the time of the reports, leaving its severity and potential absence unresolved.
