Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell Step Out Together at 2026 Emmys

Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell attended the 2026 Emmys together on Sept. 14 in Los Angeles, with both actors nominated for awards and appearing on the red carpet.

The 2026 ceremony marked a notable night for the The Americans co-stars, who began dating after meeting while portraying married Russian spies on the series in 2013.

Their relationship initially remained private. Rhys later explained on Late Night with Seth Meyers that the couple’s romance became public after a burglar entered his apartment while Russell was there.

The NYPD later returned items stolen from the pair while they were working on set, effectively ending their privacy.

Russell and Rhys have remained long-term partners but are not married. They share one son, Sam, born in 2016. Russell also has two older children, River and Willa, from her previous marriage to Shane Deary.

At this year’s Emmys, the pair also made a coordinated fashion statement. Russell wore a custom Khaite black leather halter dress, marking the brand’s first custom red-carpet design.

Rhys wore a made-to-measure Thom Browne tuxedo with a white Oxford shirt, cashmere vest and wingtip boots.

Vogue reported that Fleming styled both actors, with their outfits designed to reflect their individual approach while maintaining a cohesive look.

Russell told Vogue that she chose the Khaite design because of its luxurious fit and distinctive leather finish. Rhys described Thom Browne as a balance between traditional tailoring and unconventional details.
