Zendaya has unveiled one of her shortest hairstyles in recent years, debuting a softly styled pixie cut at Prada’s Paradoxe pop-up event during New York Fashion Week.
The new look features a close crop around the back and sides, while soft curls are lifted across the crown to create a light, airy finish. The style marks a clear shift from the longer looks she has worn during recent major appearances.
Zendaya’s move toward shorter hair has developed gradually. She previously transitioned from a curly bob-pixie hybrid into a longer bixie before taking the style further with her latest crop.
The change is particularly noticeable after her promotional appearances for The Odyssey. During that campaign, hairstylist Coree Moreno created waist-length waves and extensions that complemented Zendaya’s couture outfits.
At Prada, the shorter hairstyle was paired with a bottle green sweater, pink button down shirt and brown slip skirt featuring chartreuse embellishments.
The styling emphasized softness rather than the sharper aesthetic sometimes associated with very short hair. Her beauty look followed the same direction.
Makeup artist Ernesto Casillas used lavender tones and Zendaya’s summer tan for what he called the “wisteria look,” incorporating Prada Beauty products across her complexion, cheeks and eyes.
The pixie also showed its flexibility later that evening when Zendaya was seen dining in New York with Euphoria co-stars Hunter Schafer and Alexa Demie.
She wore a red sweater, straight-leg white jeans and black patent loafers, giving the haircut a more casual appearance.
Zendaya’s latest hairstyle demonstrates how dramatically the same short cut can change through styling, with its polished Prada presentation contrasting with the more relaxed version seen later in New York.
