Prince William and Prince Harry have separately congratulated 198 young people receiving the 2026 Diana Award, reaffirming their shared support for the charity honoring their late mother.
The 2026 Diana Award recipients were announced on November 4, recognizing young people for their contributions to their communities and efforts to create positive social change.
Although Prince William and Prince Harry remain estranged, both continue to support the organization established in memory of Princess Diana.

Their separate letters offered recognition to this year’s recipients without requiring a joint public appearance. The international awards included 198 young people representing 44 countries.
India recorded the largest national group with 49 recipients, followed by Nigeria with 25 and the United States with 23.
Nine countries joined the awards for the first time, including Ukraine and Mongolia, reflecting the program’s expanding international participation.
Dr. Tessy Ojo CBE, chief executive of The Diana Award, praised the recipients for their determination and compassion in addressing global challenges.
She said their achievements demonstrate how young people are already contributing to positive change.

How William and Harry Continue Princess Diana’s Legacy
The brothers last appeared together at a public engagement in July 2021, when they unveiled a statue of Princess Diana at Kensington Palace on what would have been her 60th birthday.
Since then, they have attended some of the same royal events but have largely maintained their distance.
Their last reported shared family event included the August 2024 memorial service for their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes.
Despite their personal differences, both have continued supporting causes associated with their mother’s charitable work.
William has focused on tackling homelessness through initiatives aimed at developing practical solutions.
Harry has supported young people in southern Africa, particularly those affected by HIV and AIDS, and championed the HALO Trust, a landmine-clearance organization Diana famously supported during her lifetime.
The latest awards recognition demonstrates that their commitment to preserving their mother’s charitable legacy continues independently of their relationship.
