Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky have welcomed their first child, a daughter named Rose Bean Polansky, according to TMZ.
TMZ reported Sept. 17 that the baby was born June 9 at 11:19 p.m. at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The outlet said it obtained the child’s birth certificate, providing the first reported confirmation of her name and sex.
The name Rose may have a connection to Gaga’s career. The singer has a large rose tattoo running down her spine, which she got to commemorate her performance of “La Vie En Rose” in A Star Is Born.

TMZ also noted that the origin of the middle name Bean has not been confirmed. The baby’s delivery was handled by Dr. Robert Katz, according to TMZ.
The report identified Katz as an OB-GYN who has also helped other celebrity families, including Ciara and Russell Wilson when they welcomed their daughter Sienna.
Gaga and Polansky have kept their family life largely private. The couple was recently photographed in Northern California, with Gaga seen holding the baby while walking alongside Polansky and a friend.

What Is Confirmed About the Couple
USA TODAY reported that Gaga’s representatives declined to confirm the baby’s name and sex when contacted.
The singer also has not publicly disclosed whether the couple used a surrogate, leaving that detail unconfirmed.
Gaga and Polansky began their relationship publicly in 2020 and became engaged in 2024.
Gaga said in March that they planned to marry “soon,” but TMZ reported that they remain engaged and have not secretly married, despite a recent report claiming otherwise.
Polansky is a businessman and technology entrepreneur who has worked with multiple companies and nonprofit organizations. Gaga previously said their engagement inspired “Blade of Grass,” a song from her 2025 album Mayhem.
