Haaland documented the haircut through a full length YouTube video, calling several familiar faces before revealing his new appearance.
Oasis star Noel Gallagher laughed at the change, while Jack Grealish told his City teammate that he looked “about 10 years old.”
Guardiola, Haaland’s former manager, was similarly surprised. “No way!” Guardiola said before joking that Haaland was fortunate to have hair.
The transformation also caught the attention of Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham, who left a brief reaction under Haaland’s post: “No way.”
Konate offered a different comparison, writing “Ragnar,” apparently referring to Ragnar Lothbrok, the Viking character popularized by the television series Vikings.
Haaland’s appearance had already become part of his football identity, alongside his prolific scoring record.
Since joining Manchester City in July 2022, he has finished as the Premier League’s leading scorer in three of his four seasons.
