Amal Clooney and her mother, journalist Baria Alamuddin, were photographed together at Athens International Airport after Amal’s professional visit to Greece.
Amal’s travel look combined a fitted olive green maxi dress with ruching at one hip and a thigh high side slit. She paired it with flat brown sandals, an oversized suede weekender bag, square sunglasses and understated gold jewelry.
Baria chose a different but complementary palette, wearing a flowing white blouse with patterned semi sheer sleeves and wide-leg brown trousers.

A woven wide brimmed hat, oversized sunglasses and platform shoes completed her relaxed travel outfit.
The airport appearance followed Amal’s participation in UNESCO’s 2026 Annual Meeting of Goodwill Ambassadors in Athens. The gathering was notable because it was held outside UNESCO’s headquarters in Paris for the first time.
At the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Amal joined UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Costantza Sbokou-Constantakopoulou for a panel titled “Artificial Intelligence and Culture.”
The discussion addressed AI’s influence on culture and the importance of preserving human creativity, diversity and shared values.

During the event, Amal also discussed culture’s role in bringing people together amid prolonged conflicts and increasing social division.
Her wider Athens schedule included meetings with Greek President Konstantinos Tassoulas and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The meetings also touched on cultural diplomacy and the possible reunification of the Parthenon Sculptures.

The issue has a longstanding connection to Amal, whose chambers were commissioned by the Greek government in 2014 to examine potential legal avenues concerning the sculptures. Amal’s professional wardrobe in Athens contrasted with her airport ensemble.
For the UNESCO engagement, she wore an ivory three-piece suit featuring flared trousers, a V-neck vest and cropped jacket, while Baria opted for a more playful polka-dot look with feathered trim and layered red necklaces.

The Athens appearance therefore offered a glimpse of the mother daughter pair in two distinct settings: Amal’s international professional engagements and their more relaxed journey through the airport.
