Taylor Swift Performs Toy Story 5 Song at Academy Museum Gala

Taylor Swift performed her Toy Story 5 song at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Oct. 17, marking a milestone appearance following the track’s rise to No. 1 on U.S. country radio.

Taylor Swift brought music from Toy Story 5 to one of Hollywood’s major fundraising events, performing “I Knew It, I Knew You” during the sixth annual Academy Museum Gala on Oct. 17 in Los Angeles.

The singer appeared in a floor-length gown and performed alongside a full band. PEOPLE reported that her set also included “Blank Space,” “Love Story” and “The Fate of Ophelia,” giving the evening a broader selection of her music beyond the upcoming animated film’s soundtrack.

The performance followed a significant radio milestone for “I Knew It, I Knew You.” The track reached No. 1 on US country radio, becoming Swift’s first chart-topper on the format in 13 years.

The Academy Museum had announced Swift’s participation earlier in October, confirming that she would close the evening’s program.

Amy Homma, the museum’s president and director, praised the singer’s international reach and welcomed her involvement in the event.

The gala also recognized filmmaker and composer John Carpenter, actor Colman Domingo and actor Charlize Theron.

Proceeds support the museum’s exhibitions, educational programs, public screenings and efforts to make its collections accessible to visitors of all ages.

Rolex served as the event’s exclusive partner, while Tom Ford, Robert Rodriguez, Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw were among its co-chairs.
