Model Olivia Culpo and San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey have welcomed their second child, a son named Roman Augustus McCaffrey, born Sept. 29.
Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey have welcomed a baby boy, expanding their family less than 15 months after the birth of their first child.
The couple shared the news on Instagram on Oct. 10, introducing their son as Roman Augustus McCaffrey. Their photographs included moments from the hospital following his birth, as well as family pictures featuring their daughter, Colette.
Roman was born on Sept. 29, according to the couple’s announcement. Culpo also shared a message on Instagram Stories expressing her joy at becoming a mother of two.
The couple, who married in June 2024, announced the pregnancy in May on Culpo’s 34th birthday. At the time, they revealed that they were expecting their second child while celebrating with their daughter and dog.
Culpo later explained on TikTok that she discovered she was four weeks pregnant when Colette was around six months old.
She acknowledged that the pregnancy was unexpected and shared her initial concerns about managing another child so soon after giving birth.
McCaffrey has also spoken positively about fatherhood. In a February interview with Us Weekly, the NFL running back described seeing his daughter’s smile after returning home as a source of comfort amid the pressures of daily life.
The birth announcement came ahead of San Francisco’s Week 5 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks on Oct. 11, giving McCaffrey family news to celebrate alongside his football commitments.
