Marvel Television has revealed the first logo for Zodiac, a live-action spy thriller scheduled for 2028, with filming planned to begin in London in spring 2027.
Marvel Television is developing Zodiac as a new live-action spy thriller, adding another project to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s television slate.
The studio revealed the series’ first logo during its New York Comic-Con panel, while confirming its planned release year and production timeline.
Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Television, said filming is expected to begin in London in spring 2027.
Casting was also expected to start within the following several weeks. Marvel has not announced the actors involved or provided further details about the plot.
The logo features imagery reminiscent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel’s fictional intelligence and security organization.
This has fueled speculation that the series might draw inspiration from writer Jonathan Hickman’s Secret Warriors comics, which feature espionage, Nick Fury and a group of superpowered operatives fighting Hydra.
However, Marvel has not confirmed a connection to that storyline or revealed whether Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as Fury.
Marvel’s Television Plans
The announcement arrives as Marvel’s live-action television lineup undergoes changes. VisionQuest, starring Paul Bettany as Vision, is scheduled to premiere Oct. 14, completing a trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along.
Meanwhile, Daredevil: Born Again is expected to conclude with its third season, while the future of Wonder Man remains uncertain despite its earlier second-season renewal and an Emmy nomination for lead actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
Marvel also announced three animated Marvel Zombies specials for release between 2027 and 2029. The planned installments are titled The Winter Soldier, The Fist of Khonshu and The Last Guardian.
With Zodiac, Marvel has confirmed another live-action series in development, but its creative direction, cast and relationship to existing MCU storylines remain unknown.
