Whitney Leavitt to make film debut in holiday rom-com ‘All for Love’

New York — Whitney Leavitt, known for her role in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and a recent standout on Dancing with the Stars, is set to make her feature film debut in the upcoming holiday romantic comedy All for Love, Ninth House Productions announced Monday.

Leavitt will star as Winona, a popular podcaster navigating a holiday dating app promotion, alongside Jesse Kove, who plays Luke, a rugged renovator tasked with remodeling her grandmother’s event venue.

The film marks Leavitt’s first foray into feature films and her first credit as an executive producer. “I feel like everything that I’ve been manifesting feels more within reach,” Leavitt said in an interview with People.

“Like I can see it and it’s there and I’m reaching it and I’m going after it and I’m just so grateful.” All for Love is directed by Jake Helgren from a screenplay by Ansley Gordon, who, along with Prashant Moody, serves as an executive producer.

Production has recently begun, with multiple streaming platforms reportedly in discussions to distribute the film when it premieres next holiday season. Leavitt’s career has spanned reality television and stage performance.

Her recent appearance on Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars with professional partner Mark Ballas drew attention for a performance of the Argentine Tango to the iconic “Cell Block Tango” from Chicago, earning a perfect score from the judges.

Following her film debut, Leavitt is scheduled to make her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago in February 2026. She will perform the role for six weeks, concluding her run on March 15, 2026.

Entertainment industry analysts view Leavitt’s transition from television to film and theater as a strategic move that could diversify her career portfolio.

Whitney Leavitt has built a strong public presence through reality TV and social media, and moving into film allows her to leverage that audience while demonstrating versatility,” said Karen Whitfield, a media analyst at the Center for Entertainment Studies.

“Being an executive producer also gives her creative control and a stake in the project beyond acting.” Experts note that holiday themed romantic comedies continue to perform well on streaming platforms, citing audience familiarity and seasonal engagement as major factors.

“Streaming services see holiday rom-coms as low risk, high reward content because they appeal to wide demographics,” said industry consultant Marcus Lee. “Leavitt’s name recognition from Dancing with the Stars could further enhance viewership.”

Holiday romantic comedies, including titles like A Christmas Prince and The Holiday Calendar, have set streaming viewership records in recent years.

According to data from the Streaming Content Research Group, films in this genre see a 20 percent increase in streams during the first two weeks of December compared with other months.

Leavitt’s dual role as actor and executive producer mirrors trends among performers who are increasingly seeking creative influence.

Celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling have successfully combined acting and producing, translating their popularity into sustained career growth.

Local film communities have expressed excitement about the project, noting its potential economic impact and visibility.

“Having a production like All for Love start here brings jobs and attention to local crews and talent,” said Marta Jennings, president of the New York Film Guild.

“Whitney Leavitt stepping into both leading and producing roles is a strong statement for emerging artists.”

Fans of Leavitt have reacted enthusiastically on social media platforms, praising her for embracing new challenges in both film and theater.

“It’s inspiring to see Whitney taking on acting, producing, and Broadway all at once,” one fan tweeted.

With All for Love entering production and her Broadway debut approaching, Leavitt’s career trajectory suggests a period of significant expansion.

Analysts predict that if the film achieves even moderate success, it could open doors for additional lead roles in streaming and theatrical projects.

“Diversifying across mediums is a smart move,” Whitfield said. “It positions her not just as a reality TV star but as a multi platform performer capable of sustaining long term relevance in entertainment.”

Whitney Leavitt’s upcoming film debut in All for Love represents a notable milestone in her evolving career.

With executive producing credits and a major role in a holiday rom-com, coupled with an impending Broadway appearance, Leavitt is stepping into multiple entertainment arenas simultaneously.

The film’s release next holiday season, along with her Broadway performance, underscores a year of significant professional growth and audience anticipation.
