A report cited by Closer Magazine suggests the Queen’s position may have become more flexible despite years of tension between the Sussexes and the wider royal family.
The reported shift comes against the backdrop of Harry’s strained relationship with several senior royals.
Since stepping down as a working royal with Meghan Markle, Harry has publicly discussed his experiences within the monarchy through interviews.
A Netflix documentary and his memoir, Spare, creating significant friction with members of his family. Camilla’s own history with Harry is also complicated.
Her marriage to Charles followed decades of public scrutiny surrounding Charles’ relationship with Princess Diana, and Camilla was often portrayed negatively during that period. Those perceptions have continued to influence how her relationship with Harry is viewed.
Despite that difficult history, the report claims Camilla may be placing Charles’ wishes ahead of old disagreements.
The King has reportedly remained interested in maintaining some form of relationship with Harry, particularly as the family faces the challenge of managing personal disputes while preserving a united public image.
There may also be a long term element to Camilla’s thinking. William and Catherine are expected to become the central figures of the monarchy in the future, meaning relationships between the current Queen and the next generation could become increasingly important as the royal succession progresses.
