Overwatch 2 Faces Widespread Server Outage on February 10, 2026

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch 2 experienced a significant server outage on Feb. 10, 2026, leaving hundreds of players worldwide unable to access the game.

According to Downdetector, reports of login failures, disconnections, and connectivity issues began rising sharply around 1:59 PM Eastern Time.

Social media posts indicate that the outage affected regions across North America, Europe, and Asia, disrupting both casual and competitive gameplay.

The game’s latest seasonal update, released on the same day, introduced new heroes and maps, likely increasing server demand.

Maria Lopez, senior network analyst at GameTech Insights, noted that large spikes in player activity can expose capacity limits, while Michael Trent, cloud infrastructure researcher at the Digital Play Institute, emphasized that distributed servers can behave inconsistently under sudden load.

Blizzard had not issued an official statement as of early evening, leaving players to rely on forums and status trackers for updates. The outage underscores ongoing challenges in maintaining stable online services during peak engagement.
