Kelly Osbourne says she has gained 30 pounds since her February appearance at the 2026 BRIT Awards, opening up about grief, recovery and her father Ozzy Osbourne’s death.
Kelly Osbourne has shared an update on her recovery following the death of her father, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, saying she has gained 30 pounds since her appearance at the 2026 BRIT Awards on Feb. 28.
In an interview with The Sun, Kelly said she was surprised by how she looked in photographs from the event. She also clarified that her difficulties with eating were not caused by an eating disorder.
Instead, she described a period when eating made her feel sick and she struggled to take care of herself.

Kelly, 41, connected that period to the loss of her father, who died in July 2025 at age 76. She said she worried about the effect her emotional state was having on her 3-year-old son, Sidney.
Kelly credited her mother, Sharon Osbourne, with helping her find support. After Kelly visited her father’s grave and asked for help, Sharon introduced her to therapist and life coach Chris Miller the following day.
The year also brought the end of Kelly’s engagement to Sid Wilson in March. Despite these difficulties, she said she has come to view her grief differently, describing her love for her father as a reason to recognize grief as an expression of that bond.
Kelly also addressed speculation about cosmetic procedures, saying she has not undergone plastic surgery. She acknowledged receiving Botox between her eyebrows and in her jaw because she grinds her teeth.

In March, Kelly criticized online commenters who mocked her appearance at the BRIT Awards, asking people to show compassion toward someone experiencing personal hardship.
Last month, she revealed that she had been sober for eight months after returning to drinking following her father’s death.
Speaking on the We Need to Talk podcast, she said she had distanced herself from some friends and did not expect to stop grieving her father.
