Vincent Pastore, whose gravel voiced presence and imposing frame made him a natural fit for mobster roles across four decades of film and the small screen, died at age 80. 

He was found inside his City Island residence on Saturday, August 1, 2026, after a neighbor raised concerns upon not seeing him for three days, according to police sources cited by the Seattle Times.

His manager, Robert Attermann, confirmed the death to Fox News Digital. “Vinny passed away either yesterday or today at home in The Bronx,” Attermann said. 

“I had the privilege of representing Vinny for more than 30 years, long before ‘The Sopranos’ turned him into a household name.”

Born in the borough on July 14, 1946, the actor took an unlikely path to his craft. After serving in the Vietnam War, he enrolled at Pace University and earned a degree in drama. 

He began building a resume in the early 1990s, often cast as enforcers, capos, and street-level operators in crime films that defined the era.

His filmography includes roles in Martin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas” (1990), Robert De Niro’s “A Bronx Tale” (1993), Brian De Palma’s “Carlito’s Way” (1993), and the HBO TV movie “Gotti” (1996). 

He also appeared in “Mickey Blue Eyes,” “Riding in Cars with Boys,” “Witness to the Mob,” “Deuces Wild,” “Once Upon a Time in Brooklyn,” and “Money Train.”

On television, he was a frequent guest star on “Law & Order” and held a major role on “The Practice.” Later credits included “Blue Bloods,” “General Hospital,” “Bull,” “Pair of Kings,” “Hawaii Five-0,” and a voice appearance on “Yellowjackets.”

Beyond scripted work, Pastore became a familiar face in reality TV, competing on “Dancing with the Stars,” “Celebrity Fit Club,” and “Celebrity Apprentice.” He additionally hosted “The Wiseguy Show” on SiriusXM.

He is survived by his daughter, Renee.
