Sydney Sweeney Reportedly Hesitates to Work With Glen Powell Again

Sydney Sweeney is reportedly in no rush to reunite with Glen Powell on screen, despite the strong commercial performance of their 2023 romantic comedy Anyone But You.

Powell and Sweeney became a high profile on screen pairing after starring together in Anyone But You.

According to report, the film earned about $220 million worldwide and outperformed several recent romantic comedies, including Ticket to Paradise and The Lost City.

Despite that success, the actors reportedly chose not to make a sequel. A source cited by the National Enquirer said they reached that decision several years ago, describing sequels as particularly difficult to execute successfully.

Powell has apparently remained interested in another collaboration. The source claims he has been “persistently and consistently” contacting Sweeney and her team in search of a different project they could make together.

Sweeney, however, is reportedly taking a different approach. The source says she has shown little urgency about immediately working with Powell again, linking that hesitation to her relationship with Scooter Braun.

The report claims Braun is uncomfortable with the closeness Sweeney and Powell developed while filming Anyone But You.

The source characterized their connection as having “insane chemistry,” which it says has contributed to Braun’s reported concerns.

These claims come from an unnamed source and have not been presented in the supplied material as statements from Sweeney, Powell or Braun themselves.

The report therefore does not establish that Sweeney has definitively ruled out another project with Powell.

For now, the supplied report indicates that Powell remains interested in another collaboration, while Sweeney is reportedly less eager to pursue one.
