Princess Kate May Join William at 2026 Earthshot Prize in Mumbai

Princess Kate may join Prince William at the 2026 Earthshot Prize ceremony in Mumbai, although Kensington Palace has not confirmed her attendance.

Prince William is preparing to travel to Mumbai next month for the 2026 Earthshot Prize, while attention is focused on whether Princess Kate will accompany him.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 17 and will recognize five winners across the categories Revive Our Oceans, Fix Our Climate, Build a Waste-Free World, Protect and Restore Nature, and Clean Our Air.

Four presenters have been confirmed so far: actor Rami Malek, Indian actresses Alia Bhatt and Sonam Kapoor, and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. The Earthshot Prize website says additional presenters will be announced.

That has fueled speculation that Kate could be among those joining the presenting lineup. However, Kensington Palace has not confirmed whether the Princess of Wales will attend the Mumbai ceremony.

Kate has previously played a role at the Earthshot Prize. She presented an award at the 2022 ceremony in Boston, alongside presenters including Malek, Catherine O’Hara and Shailene Woodley.

She also attended the inaugural event in London in 2021 with William and presented the Protect and Restore Nature award to Costa Rica.

The 2026 ceremony will be hosted by Indian filmmaker and television personality Karan Johar.

Performers are expected to include Shreya Ghoshal and Simone Ashley, while Earthshot Ambassadors Robert Irwin and Nomzamo Mbatha are also involved.

The Princess of Wales last attended an Earthshot ceremony in 2022. She and William previously visited India and Bhutan together in 2016.

William launched the Earthshot Prize in 2020 to support solutions addressing major environmental challenges. The 2026 event will be held in Mumbai as part of the prince’s two-day visit.
