Production on Landman Season 3 has begun in Texas, offering the first major update on the Paramount+ drama after months of uncertainty surrounding its filming schedule.
James Jordan, who plays Dale Bradley, posted a behind-the-scenes image on Instagram with the caption, “Up n runnin’ and back after it!” The update provides a clear indication that cameras are now rolling on the third season.
The production had previously faced delays. The shoot was initially expected to begin in May, while The Independent reported that Sheridan was still writing the season in August. Jordan had also indicated that cast members were beginning to receive their scripts.
The new season is being filmed primarily in and around Fort Worth. Taylor Sheridan has regularly used Texas as a production location for his projects, keeping the setting closely connected to the series’ oil-industry storyline.
Season 2 concluded Jan. 18, 2026, after expanding the story around the Norris family and its move toward operating independently.
The series stars Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris alongside Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Sam Elliott and Michelle Randolph.
Season 3 will also introduce Michael Kelly, another Sheridan collaborator, as William Crockett, an oil industry figure.
No official Season 3 premiere date has been announced. The delayed production makes a 2026 return unlikely, but Paramount+ has not confirmed a specific release window.
